KYLIE GATES 🩷 COMMUNITY ADVOCATE, EVENT LEADER & OWNER OF SOCIAL MUMS CLUB
Kylie is a passionate community advocate, local connector, and the proud owner of Social Mums Club Forest Lake, Pallara & Surrounds. Known for her energy, heart, and commitment to bringing people together, Kylie has become a familiar face across the community – organising local events, fundraisers, and initiatives that strengthen connection and support for families.
Alongside her grassroots community work, she is also an Events Manager with the national not-for-profit ‘Youngcare’, where she helps deliver impactful fundraising events that change lives for young people with complex and permanent physical disabilities.

JENNY JENNER 🌻 OWNER MANAGER OF KALBAR SUNFLOWERS
Jenny is the founder of the Kalbar Sunflower Festival — a little idea that has grown into one of Queensland’s most joyful events. What started as a way to share the beauty of her sunflower fields has become a festival that welcomes more than 13,000 visitors each year. Along the way, together with their community and partners, they’ve raised over $600,000 since 2022, with this year alone raising over $175,000, for cancer care and palliative support — a cause very close to Jenny‘s heart. She’s passionate about creating experiences that bring people joy, connect communities, and give back in a meaningful way.

GAIL ROGERS 🦋 CEO & DIRECTOR OF NURSING AT IPSWICH HOSPICE
Since September 2024, Gail has been the CEO & Director of Nursing at Ipswich Hospice. She is very proud to be apart of an organisation where patient-centered care can be individual, comfortable and dignified. Gail’s nursing career began at Toowoomba Base, St George & Paraburdoo Hospitals, and after marriage and 3 kids, Gail committed herself to ongoing professional development in the field. She has since lived & worked in the Ipswich & West Moreton area for many years, with most of those working for Queensland Health.

Genieve is a passionate Regional Development Specialist who has been with Cancer Council Queensland since April 2025. She is dedicated to building meaningful community partnerships and creating impactful fundraising initiatives across the region. With a strong focus on connection, collaboration, and support, Genieve works closely with schools, community groups, and supporters to help raise vital funds and awareness for Queenslanders affected by cancer
